The Cabinet of Singapore forms the executive and is headed by the prime minister, who is the head of government. The prime minister is a member of parliament appointed by the president, who in his or her view is likely to command the confidence of the majority of the parliament. Cabinet members, also known as ministers, are sitting elected members of parliament appointed by the president on the advice of the prime minister [1].
The Cabinet collectively decides the government's policies and has influence over lawmaking.
