From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cabbage Night is a term used in parts of the northeastern United States that refers to the night before Halloween when children commit small acts of vandalism. These acts of vandalism generally include covering trees and telephone lines with toilet paper, throwing eggs at homes and cars, and spraying shaving cream on property. However, more serious acts of vandalism do occur. Areas known to use this term include Northern New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Vermont.
