C. L. Freire is a Tween fantasy author with the Triad Publishing Group. Her first novel, the title of which has yet to be released, is due out October 1, 2008. She was discovered on Myspace in December 2007 when authors published with TRIAD recommended the publisher, Vern Firestone check out her work on Myspace. Mr. Firestone wound up subscribing to her blog located at [www.myspace.com/clfreire] and had been reading them for a month before contacting her with an interest in the possible publication of her much-talked-about first novel.

Within days, C. L. was offered a contract to publish her debut novel, the first in a series of eight books aimed at the Tween market. Since then, C. L. has made an appearance on one BlogTalk Radio show, has been featured on Word Weavers--another Myspace page, and she has been contacted for numerous magazine interviews. With upcoming events such as a speaking engagement for the Barbara Harkins Foundation South Dade Youth Expo for the Arts, and another BlogTalk radio interview scheduled for October 2, the day after the release of her debut novel, as well as another interview on October 5, C. L. has been the talk of many Myspace pages, including one that publicly called her the next J. K. Rowling.

In her effort to help offer much-needed exposure to other authors, C. L. opened a Myspace pages dedicated to that very goal. She called it Writers Together, and in the months it has been open, its popularity has swelled to an extent that she was forced to bring in help to maintain the page.
