Eveready #761 4½ Volts, Battery for electrical instruments, toys, telegraph sets, and other battery operated devices
The multiple taps allow for varying the output voltage from 1.5 volts, 3.0 volts, and 4.5 volts, or using subsections of the cells such as one cell for 1.5 volt and two for cells 3.0 volts.
Marked on bottom: For best results put in service before Feb. 1943
L 4 inch (101.6mm), W 1.25 inch (31.75mm), H 3 inch (76.2mm). Weight 13 ounce (368gm).
