C. Scott Jacobs

Curtis Scott Jacobs, who usually publishes under the name Scott Jacobs', is an American argumentation, communication, and rhetorical scholar. His Ph.d. is from the University of Illinois, and he is Professor of Communication at the University of Arizona.

He has published in Communication Monographs, Communication Theory, Journal of the American Forensic Association, Quarterly Journal of Speech, and Argumentation. His seminal contribution ton the field of argumentation theory appears in: Sally Jackson and Scott Jacobs, "Structure of Conversational Argument: Pragmatic Bases for the Enthymeme."
