Byron Gettis (born March 13, 1980 in Centreville, Illinois) was an outfielder for the Kansas City Royals in 2004.

Byron Gettis graduated from Cahokia Senior High School in 1998, and has a career batting average of .179. As a result of his unimpressive baseball record, he opted to pursue an education and enrolled as a freshman at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2006. [1]
