The BYD F3DM is a plug-in hybrid vehicle concept car (not in production in this time). The F3DM was introduced at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show.
According to a Car and Driver article, the company's parent is currently the world's largest producer of cellphone batteries. The design parameters include a 60 mile electric-only range with a small auxiliary engine to allow operation in the hybrid mode.
