[edit] Synopsis

Max Grabelski (Daniel Stern) walks into the biggest screw-up of his life, accepting a deal of delivering packages to a millionaire filled with money for $50. In delivering the final package he discovers the kitchen burning and flees the house. Police are on him in moments and he flees the city in a stolen blue station wagon. Taking a stop at a petrol station to go to the toilet, before leaving he realises that his face is on TV, he attempts to distract the owner of the store by standing in front of the TV as a scout leader enters and informs him of how rude he is.

Max leaves the station to find a note saying 'I am an inconsiderate person.' on the car's window, Max asks the scout leader if he had put the sign on his window, he simply replied that he had parked in a disabled zone. Max tries to rip it off but he finds out that it has in fact been supa-glued to the window. The shopkeeper runs out and tells the pair that Mad Max was headed their way in a station wagon, while telling them he recognises the blue station wagon parked in his carpark.

Max pulls a gun on the others and orders the shopkeeper to get back into the house, and the scout leader to get into the station wagon. They obey and Max breaks off the rear-view mirror in the car, glues the scout leader's hands and chin to the driving wheel and orders him to drive south, not to try any funny stuff and that he would be following right behind. The scout leader reverses out, drives south and Max drives north.
