Bushnell is a village in Kimball County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 162 at the 2000 census.

Bushnell is located at (41.232230, -103.892377)[3].
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²), all of it land.

The village has very few businesses left. The High School closed in the spring of 1981, with the elementary closing 5 years later. The students now attend School in Kimball, Nebraska. After the school closed all the businesses in town struggled to survive. The grain elevators closed, the gas station closed, then it was like dominoes. About all that is left is a Post Office and the village office.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 162 people, 70 households, and 44 families residing in the village. The population density was 769.7 people per square mile (297.9/km²). There were 86 housing units at an average density of 408.6/sq mi (158.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.38% White and 0.62% Pacific Islander. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.79% of the population.
There were 70 households out of which 20.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.4% were married couples living together, 1.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.1% were non-families. 28.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.31 and the average family size was 2.91.
In the village the population was spread out with 21.6% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 18.5% from 25 to 44, 30.9% from 45 to 64, and 23.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $26,750, and the median income for a family was $30,750. Males had a median income of $26,250 versus $16,406 for females. The per capita income for the village was $13,024. About 8.5% of families and 7.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen and 12.8% of those sixty five or over.
