Article claims Chester played in first match at the new stadium in July 2005, but most news stories recently have a match against Man Utd reserves as the first. Grunners 14:40, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- The first match at the Pirelli WAS against Chester. The Man Utd reserves game was the *Official* opening, but came four months after the ground first started to be used. So technically they're both correct.

Isn't the discussion of the Man Utd match a bit out of proportion with the rest of the article?
- No not at all. The Man Utd matches represent the most important period for the club both in footballing terms and the financial stability of the club. It would be churlish to suggest otherwise. Captain McVitie 16:51, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
