Burning Heart is an original novel written by Dave Stone and based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It features the Sixth Doctor and Peri.
Dave Stone has said it was originally planned to be a crossover with Judge Dredd (Virgin held the rights to the books at the time) but this plan was scrapped after the release of the Dredd movie. [1]
Like all Doctor Who spin-off media, the way the plot fits in to the ongoing story of television series is open to interpretation. See Whoniverse#Inclusion and canonicity
