Burleigh Smith

Burleigh Smith (born Andrew Christopher Burleigh Smith, January 7, 1979) is an Australian film director and screenwriter. His films fit into one of two different categories; the character-centred drama, usually shot with handheld, digital photography; or the romantic comedy, shot with conventional photography and with emphasis on dry wit and desperate characters. Smith was a finalist at the 2007 Tropfest Film Festival for "Mere Oblivion", a film he describes as "a Woody Allen-style comedy that takes a serious look at old age".
