Burgenlandkreis is a district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

The district was established by merging the former districts of Burgenlandkreis and Weißenfels as part of the reform of 2007. On 16 Jul 2007 the district parliament decided to change the name again to Burgenlandkreis coming into effect on the 1 Aug 2007[1].
