[edit] Who's competing?

The following statement is simply untrue: is an annual competition held between the 16 states of Germany, in which participating states each submit a song to be performed on live television. The states of Germany have nothing to do with it, they don't submit songs or acts in whatever form. It's simply 16 songs claimed by Raab to be connected to the 16 states in a more or less loose fashion. The 16 acts are chosen (by Raab?) in a non-transparent way. --217.80.66.45 10:44, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Not true, it's NOT Raab who chooses the bands, it's usually (private) regional radio stations who choose the Musicians —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.164.243.67 (talk) 09:45, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

I prefer using the German names, but does anyone recall if WP policy encourages using the English? samwaltz 16:04, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
