Bund für deutsche Schrift und Sprache

The Bund für deutsche Schrift und Sprache ("The Confederation of German writing and language") is the official language academy for the German language, akin to Academie Francaise or the Accadamia della crusca which officiates the French and Italian languages respectively.[1]. It was founded in 1918 as a nonprofit association dedicated to the care and preservation of German books and the German language as a cultural asset.

The association was founded in 1918. In the period 1922-23 the association produced a magazine which 1927 received it's current title of "Die deutsche Schrift“ (The German language).
