[edit] Track listing

Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums (since Wikipedia:WikiProject Songs doesn't really deal with track listings) recommends using the list format. Tables are generally used when there's other information that would be awkward in list format. For examples, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. includes songwriteres and producers, and Enta Da Stage includes songwriters, producers, guest performers, and samples. ShadowHalo 21:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Never Again Release Dates

I'm sorry I didn't reply to your message; I missed it completely and didn't realise you had written it until you removed it earlier. Do you still need help with the release dates on Never Again (Kelly Clarkson song)? (By the way, I'll try never again to miss a message on my talk page.) Extraordinary Machine 00:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the names of retailers in Canada and Sweden, so I wouldn't know on what websites to look for the release date information for those countries (that is, if the Sony BMG websites in those countries turn up nothing). I do, however, know of sources that could be used to improve the Since U Been Gone, so I'll start compiling those. Extraordinary Machine 11:46, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Ain'tNoOtherManScreen.PNG listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Ain'tNoOtherManScreen.PNG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. 17Drew 21:42, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Authorization for same fair use rationale

Yeah, of course you can use the rationale elsewhere, it's no problem — in fact, when I wrote that I mostly just cobbled together bits and pieces of relevant sentences from other pages, so it's not really "mine" anyway (I only put my name on it in case anybody had any questions about the rationale). Extraordinary Machine 20:54, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Infoboxes

It depends on the type of infobox actually. In the song/single, musical artist, and album infoboxes, commas are normally used instead of breaks. I just fix the infoboxes when I see them. However, not all infoboxes use commas instead of breaks; there are infoboxes, such as infoboxes for starships, that use breaks and not commas. With the small tags and references, I don't think I'll be able to help you there; I use Internet Explorer 7 as well, but references and sentences seem fine to me. It may possibly be how something's set in your browser. Thanks for asking about infoboxes though. :) Acalamari 20:39, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Oh don't worry, that's perfectly normal, now I see what you mean. :) It happens on my computer and browser too. You don't have to worry about using the small tags anymore, and there is nothing wrong with your computer or your browser. :) Acalamari 01:49, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't know of anything that says the small tags can't be used, in all fairness. Acalamari 18:33, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Can I...

Hey Bull Borgnine, I saw that you upload Carrie's So Small cover, can you send me it at a higher resolution please? I really need it. Thanx $ą|εɱchat 05:54, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: I seek your advice...

I think providing him/her with a high resolution version is okay, provided that he/she has it only for personal use, and that it isn't uploaded on Wikipedia. Hope that helps. Extraordinary Machine 17:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: I Agree

I agree with the terms above, I just need it for my cover art collection, that's a beautiful one so I just don't want to miss it :D Here is my email: BlackSalem2005@Gmail.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by Salem Wiki (talkcontribs) 02:59, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hot Digital Songs

Well, I believe that the Hot Digital Songs and Pop 100 are the main charts along with the Hot 100. The other charts I don't really recongnize as a big chart. Thanks for asking all before editing! :D Tcatron565 23:08, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] So Small

Hi, I recently noticed you editing Carrie Underwood's single, So Small. I viewed your changes and I happened to notice that you placed a <small> 'markup' on that page, making the footnote for the source harder to see. Could you please tell me why you did that? I personally find it unneccessary. If you deem it necessary, please provide an explanation and I'll take it into account the next time I am editing that page. Thank you. σмgнgσмg 13:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Never revert a person's edits without giving a decent explanation, or indeed anything at all. This is not acceptable and edit wars are not a good thing. violet/riga (t) 06:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind reply. We try to avoid the word "sophomore" because it is confusing to many readers, particularly those outside the US (see WP:MUSTARD), and we avoid "easter egg links" links like that to 2007 in music as well (see WP:ALBUM#Dating). The infobox is generally seen as a separate thing to the prose, and we try to make sure that we present all the details in writing as well as in the infobox.
Regards, violet/riga (t) 09:54, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Those edits look fine to me! Nice work - thanks. violet/riga (t) 12:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for trying to locate sources for So Small's chart positions. It is quite hard for me as I am living outside America - so I would not know where to look. It is always nice to find people who are willing to contribute. =) σмgнgσмg 11:25, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for your help! Much appreciated. σмgнgσмg 08:14, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Gimme More" Cover

Sorry about that, I just noticed that a lot of people have been adding fan art to the page, so I thought that was fan art as well. CRocka05 06:16, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adoption!

Hello, Bull Borgnine! I see that you have expressed an interest in being adopted by an experienced editor. I accept your request, being an experienced editor myself. I primarily do anti-vandal work (which i see you are interested in), but if you just want to find something to do, or talk to somebody, I'm the one you can talk to - just leave a message on my talk page. Good luck with Wikipedia! Tiptoety 22:28, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

I would be happy to start with some basics, just let me know what you want to work on and i will do my best to teach it to you! Tiptoety 23:31, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, have you created or worked on any articles that i can take a look at and evaluate what you may need work on? Tiptoety 23:40, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, good! You are able to do more than you think, it takes most editors a long time before they are able to correctly insert references into text. So i see you are interested in articles about music? Would you be interested in creating one? Tiptoety 23:48, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, i noticed you like Kelly clarkson, i also noticed that her single "Addicted" has not yet been created as an article. There is a whole lot that you can do with an article just about a single, take a look at Can't Get You out of My Head, this article is about a single yet it is long and has good information. If you would like to create a article about Kelly's song "Addicted" let me know and i will get you started. Tiptoety 23:59, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, we can start tomorrow, i have homework to do as well (ah how i hate high school), but yes i think you are right, it is a song, but that does not matter, you can still create the article even if it just a song. Have fun with your homework! Tiptoety 00:14, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Take a look at Toxic (song) and get some ideas. Tiptoety 05:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

I apologize if i was not clear, look at the article, and get some ideas for the article that you want to create, take a look at the different types of information that is in the Toxic (song) article, that way you can know what type of information you need to research to make your article a sucess! I am currently at school, so i may not be able to respond for another couple of hours. Tiptoety 19:18, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi, just let me know when you want to get started and we can do it! Tiptoety 15:23, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Oh, that is fine, no worries, school can get busy, yea, we can start now if you are ready. First things first read this page, this page will explain the minimum requirements for an article so it does not get deleted, once you clearly understand what the requirements are, get back to me. Tiptoety 22:19, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Oh, that is VERY good! The page i wanted you to read is this page. This will give you information on the minimum requirements for any new article so that it does not get deleted. Once you have read it, leave me a message. Thanks, and i know how you feel about school, no worries! Tiptoety 19:18, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Okay, now you want to create a Wikipedia:Sandbox off of your user page. In order to do that fallow the directions here. Once you have done that a link should show up at the top of your user page. When that task is completed let me know. Good luck! Tiptoety 18:50, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Don't Stop the Music Single.PNG

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Don't Stop the Music Single.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:38, 4 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 04:38, 4 October 2007 (UTC)…

Is this the correct source? I mean the citation? BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 07:27, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Favor (seperate)

Sure i would be happy to help. Please give me the URL/exact web site adress from where you got the image, once you give me that information i will add the proper tag. Cheers! Tiptoety 18:47, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gimme more

What's wrong with this image? Could you please specify any violations to WP:FU? The image was tagged as orphaned because you uploaded another identical photo. Thanks. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 03:17, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Ok. Fine for me, for the betterment of Wikipedia. But there is really no policy on image file extensions but PNG i think is better. Anyway, please put a link as to where did you get the image. Thanks. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 07:14, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
By the way, you should tagged it as redundant at to avoid bot to tag it as orphan. Bet notified me two times. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 07:25, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Welcome. Me too, a neophyte user. Cheers! BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 09:43, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Screenshot

I think this a good starting point. If you could just find that link, it could be better. My arrangement on headers were only POV. I really don't know if there is a standardized arrangement on that and i was thinking to pass a proposal to standardize image pages is any was not passed yet. Back to the editing, I don't know also what comes first but as far as i know, fair use rationale is under summary. Try to look at the upload wizard. If you can observe, the summary comes first and it says that put a brief summary like source, copyright holder, etc, fair use rationale and tags if applicable. Furthermore, licensing comes next so if we will just complete the needed requirements before we click the upload button, the result would

  • == Summary ==
    • Description:
    • Copyright Holder:
    • Source:
  • === Fair use in Article Name ===
  • == Licensing ==

Secondly, the fair use header must be a three level header, not two. Look as this. I will not change it because me too, not that so sure of what i am doing. Thanks. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 04:00, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gimme More cover

What's wrong with the cover I added? I don't understand why it doesn't comply with thw fair use policy. The FU policy states that "If your image is greater than 500—600px add {{non-free reduce}} to the Image: namespace and someone from Wikipedia will shrink the image to comply with this guideline.", well, its not greater that 600px, and even if it were, you should add the non-free reduce template to the image, not replace it with an identical one. So, there's no reason to replace or remove the image I added. :DJhn* 15:10, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

(???) So... if the limit is 600px, and the image is 600px, what's wrong then? — Jhn* 23:28, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
200 is fine but exceeding 300 or 400 is not good. What we are trying to upload here is the greater quality possible but not to overtake the original image of the owner can offer. Also, there's nothing to worry about 200, just be sure its JPG format because its an image, PNG for tv screenshots. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 05:52, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Hum, (my English is not perfect, but I'll try to explain as I can :D). I'll resize the cover to 400px, I think it's better visualization. 200px is too small, it is even difficult to read the name of the single. And it is still in accordance with the WP:FU policy. What do you think? :) — Jhn* 16:16, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I think 300 to 400 scaling is better. It can readily be visualized by readers. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 03:30, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
