Bukit View Secondary School or BtVSS/ BVSS (simplified Chinese: 百德中学; traditional Chinese: 百德中學; pinyin: Băidé Zhōngxué) is a government secondary school in Bukit Batok, Singapore. The abbreviation BtVSS was created for the school to prevent constant confusion between the school and Bedok View Secondary School since both share the same abbreviation of BVSS in official records.
Located in Bukit Batok Street 21, construction of the school started in 1984 and was completed in December 1985. The school started functioning with 450 Secondary One and Two students and a teaching staff of 15 in January 1986 with Mr Ow Chiong Hoo heading the school. It was officially opened by Mr Chai Chong Yii, then the MP for Bukit Batok in July 1988.
The school can be accessed by taking an MRT train, alighting at Bukit Batok Station (NS2). From there, one can either walk to the school or taking bus 173 from Bukit Batok Bus Interchange, alighting at the fifth stop.
Late 2007, the school held a uniform design competition among the students. The winning entry was a brown theme; the shirt is white with the school's logo and name sewn on with brown shorts or pants for boys, for girls, they have the option between culotte and pinafore. The pinafore differs from the standard, having a more vest-like appearance.
2008's batch of secondary 1 pupils had a reduced population with 4 Express classes, 2 Normal (Academic) classes and 1 Normal (Technical) class; from 9 classes to 7 classes. The cause of this was attributed to Singapore's falling birth rates.

[edit] PRIME Project
In 2006, under Mrs Tan, the school decided to go through the MOE (Ministry of Education) PRIME project, which is the government's project to renovate schools built earlier than 1996 or so. The school also took this opportunity when it is undergoing change to re brand the school.
The school building consist of the New Block, Old Block, Technical Block and School Hall/Canteen. The New Block contains the new library, professional sharing room and computer labs. The Technical Block, after PRIME completion in December 2006 contains, Chemistry, Biology and Physics Labs, F&N department and the D&T department. The School Hall/Canteen currently contains the hall and canteen and various CCA rooms.
Currently, the key offices in the school are held by Mrs Tan Lay Hong, the Principal, Mr Loh Chu Yin, Vice-Principal (Instructional Programme) and Miss Sharmila Gopal, Vice-Principal (Student Development). As of May 2008, the Main school building has finished PRIME. Currently, we are now at the last phase of PRIME and the contractors are now concentrating on the school field and indoor sports hall.
