[edit] Muromachi bugyō

It appears that the list in this article identifies Edo period bugyō; but at some point, the article might be expanded to includemore specific information about pre-Tokugawa shogunate officials? If so, this would become relevant:

Kinihara, Misako. The Establishment of the Tosenbugyo in the Reign of Ashikaga Yoshinori" (唐船奉行の成立 : 足利義教による飯尾貞連の登用), Tokyo Woman's Christian University: Essays and Studies. Vol. 44, No. 2, pp. 27-53.

I hope this link becomes useful at some point. --Tenmei (talk) 17:44, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I don't see why we shouldn't include it now... That's a really interesting discovery. Do you have any info, from that article or elsewhere, that says when/why/how the position ceased to exist? And congrats on the name change. I like it. LordAmeth (talk) 21:34, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
