[edit] non-profit ownership of insurance companies

Why the objection? --Gbleem 17:19, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

The Illinois Department of Insurance felt that only mutual companies, technically owned by and operated for the sole benefit of their insured, should be allowed to operate in the insurance industry as non-profits and that allowing a non-profit foundation to own a stock insurance company blurred the line too much.
