[edit] Buddy as slang
I earlier had made some edits to this disambig page wanting to clarify the "friend" entry. I had put something to the effect that "buddy" meant "slang for friend."
However, I had seen an earlier edit that was similar was reverted. I'm wondering why that first entry was reverted, since "buddy" is a slang word.
Also, someone needs to go through the list of famous people named Buddy and put them on this disambig page. Thanks! [[Briguy52748 20:51, 6 February 2006 (UTC)]]
- Hi, Briguy! You can find the guidelines for disambiguation pages at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages). According to that page, entries should be kept as short as possible. Thus, I reckon that a link to friend is easy enough for 99.99% of people to understand and the "slang for" is just unnecessary verbage. You are very correct about people named Buddy needing to be added. I hope that helps! — BrianSmithson 21:55, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Buddy Hinton
I added Buddy Hinton to the list, and in doing so found out that surprisingly little Brady Bunch-related information is documented on Wikipedia. Pygmypony 13:36, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
