Buddhabrot fractal Made by Evercat
This w:Buddhabrot was made by rendering only particles which took between 6,500 and 35,000 iterations to escape. A version without lossy compression is available at w:Image:Buddhabrot-deep-only.png.
It's worth noting that precisely which values c get iterated through the Mandelbrot function can profoundly affect the details in the resulting image (remember: the values c are an evenly spread grid of values). Shift the grid a little bit (thus changing all the values c being used) and you get a different image.
Moral: when drawing deeply iterated Buddhabrots, there's not really a truly representative result.
