Budmouth Technology College is a foundation, comprehensive, boys and girls, DfES designated Technology College situated in Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom.
It composes of a Secondary School and a Sixth Form, also on site is the privately owned Budmouth Community sports center.Budmouth Community Sports Center Official Site
It teaches 1500+ students in the 11-18 age range, school years 7 to 14. It teaches GCSEs, As Levels, A Levels and a wide range of certificate qualifications.
It is often citied to be the best school in the Weymouth and Portland area. Its results results are better than average for GCSEs, yet lower than average for As and A levels.[1]
It recently developed a CCF force which is open to all its students.[2]
Its campus is situated overlooking the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The campus is currently being redeveloped with major work which is due for completion by 2009, for 2010 occupancy.
The new school building will be able to capacitate more than the older one. The procedure will be done in 2 parts, the first half of the new building will be assembled and the students and teachers moved in, next the first half of the old school will be knocked down. Then the second half of the new school will be built and finally the second half of the old school will be knocked down.
