Buddy (novel)

Buddy (1982) is the first of a trilogy of books written by Nigel Hinton. The main characters are Buddy Clark, his mother, Carole Clark and Terry Clark, Buddy's father. The story deals with issues such as racism, thieving and child neglect.
The other books in this trilogy are Buddy's Blues and and Buddy's Song. The latter sparked the 1990 film Buddy's Song starring Chesney Hawkes as Buddy, and Roger Daltrey as Terry Clark.
The first book was made into a TV series Buddy.
