Why does someone keep removing the information on the sports blog Goat Riders of the Apocalypse? It's an interesting story and they have a following. Shouldn't they be mentioned in this entry? Or should they get an entry of their own?

Probably because it is not relevant to the Limburg Legend, just because something uses the same name doesn't mean it should be in the same topic (can you image Paris the city and Paris the person in the same topic?). A new entry should be created for your info Mach10 13:00, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

It should be Buckriders since bok in dutch is a male goat.I changed the title but i don't know how to fix redirects or the one use of "goat rider" under the picture. This article doesn't cite references and is factually incorrect, contains original 'research(meaning the author's own opinions)It's premise is wholely incorrect since organised gangs of nighttime robbers, who were named buckriders by local people, DID exist and they DID commit numerous acts(armed robbery, extortion, arson by night, torture, murder, blasphemy) which one can't just dismiss as petty. The fact that a lot of myth surrounded them, and supernatural powers were falsely attributed to them doesn't make themselves myth. I'll edit it when i have more time WITH references

yeah you're right. I should have waited. i tried to change it back. i couldn't, maybe you could do that, Mach10? there's not much written about them even in dutch, so in english i suppose you'd really have to search well since it's a very regional phenomenon. I found a few touristic (dutch)websites in english calling them goatriders but nothing 'authorative' only one (also dutch) site calling them buckriders but mayne his english was better i did finf numerous references to 'goatriders of the apocalyps' but i dont think its related to this.Also theres a song by a metal band 3 Inches of Blood's "Goatriders Horde" which according to 1 fansite refers to them bu i dont how reliable that is.
