BTC-T Vauxhall Vectra
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In late 2003 and early 2004, Triple Eight Race Engineering built a Vauxhall Vectra saloon to the BTC Touring rules, to evaluate the possibility of using it to replace the ultra successful Astra Coupe for 2004. In the end, they stuck with the Astra for a fourth consecutive season and instead introduced the Vauxhall Astra SportHatch for 2005, after they weren't able to get the Vectra's weight down low enough to be competitive. The Vectra did appear in public in 2004, at the Birmingham Motor Show, presented as the 'Vectra Diesel Concept'. It was modified and used as the Super 2000 showcar for the Vectra 5 door hatch that appeared at Autosport International[1] in 2007.
