Dosi
As an FYI, "dosi" is a transliteration of the Ashkenazic Hebrew pronunciation of a Hebrew word that's more commonly known by its Israeli Hebrew pronunciation, Dati, which is Hebrew for "according to law" and when used as an adjective describing a person connotes an Orthodox Jew. I would suggest a disambig page, just as is the case for Dati. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 22:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
a NotTheWikipediaWeekly message
Hi folks,
I've confirmed a time for the next conversation on Tuesday night, US time, (Wednesday, 02.30 UTC). Huge apologies that this isn't going to be good for Euro folk, and I know Anthony and Peter will likely be unable to attend therefore. It's possible we need a bit of a wiki effort at the project page to better organise and plan conversations - and I'd also like to encourage all interested folks to watchlist that page for updates / changes etc. which will probably be a smoother way of staying in touch than many talk page messages (though it's great that more people are expressing interest in participating...). With that in mind, if you'd like to reply to this message, please do so at my talk page, and I'll respond as soon as I can.
If you are able to attend at the given time, please do head over to Wikipedia:NotTheWikipediaWeekly#Confirmed_Participants and sign up - this is a great help in making sure everyone is around. We generally chat for about 10 minutes before 'going live' and the whole process takes about an hour, and I very much look forward to chatting to all!

Here you go! That's what was in it (I checked every revision). Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 20:37, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I've removed it as rejected, but you may wish to check out Ryan's comment in the last version before I removed it. Cheers, Daniel (talk) 02:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Bstone: I have filed a formal complaint about your behavior [1]. Have a Happy Passover, IZAK (talk) 08:51, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Request for mediation not accepted
If you have questions about this bot, please contact the Mediation Committee directly.
- Given Ryan Postlethwaite's wish to mediate this case, the rejection has been reversed. Whilst mediators enjoy a certain discretion in what cases they take on, it isn't appropriate for mediation to take place in parallel to other dispute resolution processes. If you wish mediation to take place, I think it would be necessary for Wikipedia:Requests for comment/IZAK2 to be closed. IZAK's agreement to the mediation is still needed. Ryan Postlethwaite
While neither accepting nor rejecting formal mediation, because you should not be granted those choices first before trying other measues such as at MedCab, and with the RfC being closed only on your hearsay without any input from me as to implementation, it must be noted that in looking over some of your past interactions, you have previously had serious detailed contact with User Ryan Postlethwaite (talk · contribs) such as at Wikipedia talk:Ombudsmen Committee as recently as January 2008, which makes it imposssible for him to be neutral in any mediation effort/s involving you. He should never have made the offer to mediate with you as a party because of this and should recuse himself accordingly. IZAK (talk) 07:02, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- IZAK, Ryan and I had some interaction over four months ago about a proposal which hasn't gotten much attention in a long time. That proposal and Ryan and my previous (almost ancient) interaction has absolutely nothing to do with our personal and professional editing issues. I am really wondering why you are putting forth such effort in this area and not indicating if you either accept or reject mediation. Perhaps you may grace us with your opinion soon? on TOV
I am sorry for my occasional emotional outbreaks. I know that this is extremely important to you. I also know that it is extremely important to me, and probably for exactly the same reasons. I shouldn't be reading your words as insinuating it is not the case, just because you often stress points that are unrelated to my arguments. I respect your position, and in future I will be more careful to make that clear and not to doubt that you respect mine.
I am not sure that it's a good idea to list concrete threats of violence, because of the danger of copycat crimes. We can't prevent coverage in the news, but often it is restricted to one country. Perhaps it's sufficiently unlikely that someone who will actually carry out a threat will be inspired by Wikipedia. It seems just as possible that someone will be inspired to announce his crime, rather than carrying it out just so, and that he can therefore be prevented. This is very hard to judge. What is much more likely to happen, and not quite as dramatic, is a number of extremely misguided "pranks" inspired by this. It's human nature: "What a moron! He got caught because… This could never happen to me! I will show them…" Perhaps an idiot or two of this kind will be caught by the police, but I doubt it's going to do much good, because AFAIK the chance of punishment is known to have (virtually) no deterring effect for this type of behaviour. But it could mean there are more threats of violence on Wikipedia. --Hans Adler (talk) 07:24, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Camp Tel Noar
Hi Bstone: So now it not just synagogues and Jewish day schools, but also Jewish summer camps such as Camp Tel Noar that face the threat of being nominated for ("speedy") deletion [2] by you. Glad you caught yourself in the act [3] and corrected your own actions [4] (moral: always look before you leap next time), and it is truly disappointing that you cannot at least put a small note up on Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Judaism. Just think, if synagogues, day schools and summer camps of all denominations are wiped off of Wikipedia then there will be no real examples of a living Judaism left either. Please give thought to building up and not just pulling down articles/stubs about Judaism and Jews on Wikipedia. Thank you. IZAK (talk) 07:52, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
List of eruvin as a second nomination
Hi Bstone: Did you realize that List of eruvin was once nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of communities with eruv? If you would have looked on the talk page you would have seen the notice: "This article was nominated for deletion on July 3, 2007. The result of the discussion was Keep." [6] Therefore your current re-nomination of the article for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of eruvin should have noted this as a "second nomination" such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of eruvin (second nomination) or perhaps Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of communities with eruv (second nomination) and not the way you did it. I hope you will take note of this for the future. Thank you, IZAK (talk) 09:08, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
You and IZAK
You two are turning wikipedia into your own personal battleground and it really needs to stop. What you are doing now is going down a bad road. I am not commenting on the dispute itself, and am not going to, however, I leave this note as I see what is going on. Why don't you all get back to writing the encyclopedia and ignore each other for a while? - Rjd0060 (talk) 14:33, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Signpost story
Hi there. You seem active on the related policy pages. Was wondering whether Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2008-04-21/School threat had been added to various pages. It might deter the vandals, but then it might encourage real threats (not that people with real threats would need much encouragement, sadly). What do you think. BTW, do you remember the case I pointed out here. I would have been more comfortable having a way to deal with stuff like that as well. Carcharoth (talk) 08:06, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Ombudsmen Committee
I really like the idea but I think to push it forward we do need to come up with an example case, probably with comments at each point to show what the committee does and what it is expected to do.
I can't find the WP:AN case you sugested on the talk page in the archives. Maybe you could have another look and come up with another case. themcman1 talk 12:51, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Pippa Bacca
Given that the article has been editing for about a month, and that many users have contributed, I have changed the speedy to an AfD. I suspect it probably won't survive but given the level of contribution I suspect some discussion may be a fairer way to go. Hope that's okay with you. Regards, SGGH speak! 08:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
