[edit] Student website

I removed the following section because I need a citation for the fact that a student website (that consists largely of private party pictures and juvenile self-promotion) is "popular" and notable enough for encyclopedia standards and not just a vanity addition. -- Marcika 14:14, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

"Students appropriated the name for a popular website [1] in part as a pointed statement regarding President Brand's perceived apathy toward the main campus in Bloomington in favor of the Indianapolis one."

The site has developed a cult following among students and alumni, reflected best by its publicly accessible hit counter which registered 81,885 hits. If you believe this is inappropriate for Wikipedia then you should also remove similar entries such as Ehmphasis, Anorak, Whitehouse.com, StickDeath YHoshua 18:06, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

Well, if you want to argue based on popularity, let's look at the Alexa ranking: Whitehouse.com: ranked about 48,000 [2], bryanhouseonline.com not even ranked [3] (meaning there are several million other websites that should be mentioned before this one is!). Then, it is apparent from the comments in the blogs that there are very few visitors apart from the 5 bloggers themselves. Besides, it is apparent that the website has almost nothing to do with the Bryan House that is the topic of this article. -- Marcika 19:44, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
Moreover, .you can hardly fight my claim of a vanity edit, YHoshua, being the webmaster of the webpage in question... -- Marcika 19:52, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
