Prime Minister John Howard observed in a radio interview that if this song had been around when the referendum for an anthem was held, he would have given it his second preference after "Advance Australia Fair". - that can't be right. Howard is on record that he voted for Waltzing Matilda.[1] Rocksong 23:03, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

On second thoughts, I've just removed the whole sentence. Besides being inaccurate, Howard's opinion is largely irrelvant. Rocksong 23:05, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
