Bruno Bertotti

Bruno Bertotti is an Italian physicist, emeritus professor at the University of Pavia, well known for his contributions to general relativity, particularly the Bertotti/Robinson electrovacuum, an exact solution of the Einstein field equation.

It was announced on June 1, 2007 that Professor Bertotti has been awarded by the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano of the "Gold Medal to meritorius in Science and Culture" [1] for his outstanding contributions to Science [2].
