Bruce Tate

Bruce Tate, an independent consultant, is a pundit and writer of books about software. He is a father of two who is a kayaker and mountain biker in his spare time.
Bruce developed his skills during 13 years at IBM where he worked on database technologies and object-oriented infrastructure. Perhaps more importantly, he spent a significant amount on time on Java.
Tate is best know for his Java-related work, including his books Beyond Java, Better, Faster, Lighter Java and From Java to Ruby: Things Every Manager Should Know. Beyond Java is a critical analysis of the Java language.
