[edit] Merger

A merger with Ironclad warship is perfectly possible, although may be cumbersome. A broadside ironclad was only one type of ironclad warship, the other main types being central battery armed, turret armed and barbette armed, witrh in addition one or two hybrid types. A merger would, for completeness, need to include all of these subdivisions. In my personal view keeping them seperate lends clarity to the distinction.--Anthony.bradbury 11:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
