Brown Township covers an area of 30.8 square miles (79.77 square kilometers); of this, 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometers) or 0.13 percent is water. The streams of Harlan Run, Maize Run, McCray Run, Shirley Drain and Village Brook run through this township.
