Brown Mackie College – Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a member of the Brown Mackie College system of schools, a collection of private, for-profit educational institutions for career preparation in the business, legal, health sciences, information technology, and creative fields. The Brown Mackie College system of schools has 18 locations in eight states throughout the Midwestern, southeastern, and southwestern United States, and has a total enrollment of 9,078 students (as of fall 2006). The Brown Mackie College schools are owned by Education Management Corporation, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Brown Mackie College schools provide bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, diploma, and certificate programs.

Brown Mackie College — Fort Wayne, formerly know as Michiana College, is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the United States. The college’s long history of offering career education and training dates back to its establishment in 1882 as the Fort Wayne Commercial College. In 2003, the parent corporation of Michiana College was acquired by Education Management Corporation, and in 2004, Michiana College changed its name to Brown Mackie College — Fort Wayne.

Brown Mackie College — Findlay is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools( ACICS) to award associate’s degrees and diplomas. ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions also is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

This institution is regulated by the Indiana Commission on Proprietary Education.
