The Brown-tailed Chat (Cercomela scotocerca) is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family. It is found in Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are dry savanna and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
