The Brown-hooded Gull (Larus maculipennis) is a species of gull in the Laridae family. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Falkland Islands, Paraguay, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and Uruguay. Its natural habitats are swamps, freshwater lakes, intertidal marshes, and pastureland.
