Brooklyn Amity School (Amity to the students) is a private school that was founded in 1999 by Turkish-American Businessmen. The School's Mission Statement:

Brooklyn Amity School’s mission is to educate children through extensive teaching of science, math, and social arts. We believe in the teacher-student-parent triad, where we establish and maintain clear channels of communication between our teachers, parents, and students. Our parents are also deeply committed and involved in their children’s education.

Brooklyn Amity School offers students a progressive academic education, moral and ethical education, and a variety of extracurricular activities, including art, music and community service involvement. Our school provides a safe and caring environment for both academic and social growth. Our students come from many diverse backgrounds and cultures; we value this diversity as further enrichment of both the lives of ourselves and our children.

Brooklyn Amity School is located at 1501 Hendrickson Street in Brooklyn. The facilities of Brooklyn Amity School consist of a big gymnasium/auditorium, school library, 3-story school building including 19 classrooms and 9 offices. The school also has a child care center operating at 2585 Coney Island Ave.

Brooklyn Amity is well-known throughout the community for its success in various competitions. The school currently embodies students of 14 different original national backgrounds.

Brooklyn Amity has achieved many successes in the Science Olympiad competition, Mathcounts competition, Future City competition and New York City's Specialized High Schools admissions. In Feb, 2008, The robotics team got the first place in the national competition which is held in Connecticut. In the 2008 Regional Science Olympiad Brooklyn Amity placed 1st out of 15 teams (receiving 22 of the 40 total available medals) and advanced to the New York State competition which is in April, 2008. In the 2007 Regional Science Olympiad Brooklyn Amity placed 1st out of 15 teams (receiving 28 of the 40 total available medals) and advanced to the New York State competition. In the 2006 Regional Science Olympiad Brooklyn Amity placed 4th out of 22 teams and advanced to the New York State competition. In Brooklyn Amity's short but successful history, ten students have been selected to attend Specialized High Schools.
