Broad Run
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Broad Run is a small tributary of the Potomac River in Loudoun County, Virginia. The creek drains a portion of eastern Loudoun between the Goose Creek and Sugarland Run.
The creek begins north of Braddock Road (S.R. 705), west of Goshen and flows in a generally northeasterly direction, joining with Cabin Branch just northeast of Arcola and continuing to its confluence with the Potomac near the southern end of Seldon's Island.
The Broad Run High School and Broad Run District of Loudoun derive their names from the creek.
The creek should not be confused with the Broad Run (a branch of the Occoquan River) that flows through Fauquier and Prince William Counties.
