I am a military brat, born to two parents from Arkansas. I was born on the cusp of Sagittarius on December 19, 1975, at Loring Air Force Base in Maine.
We moved around quite a lot when I was growing up. After we left Maine when I was three months old, we then moved to Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas, then on to England Air Force Base at Alexandria, Louisiana.
My parents divorced in 1980, and I went to live with my dad for about a year at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. We then moved together to Sembach Air Base in what was then West Germany. I started kindergarten and studied German while we lived there for about three and a half years.
After leaving Germany in 1984, we moved to Iraklion Air Station which was located on the island of Crete in Greece. I studied Greek for the two and a half years that we lived there. In late 1986, we moved to back to the U.S. and ended up at Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska. To continue my interest in languages, I took a semester of Latin while we lived there. Three years later, we moved back to Europe again.
I started high school at Lajes Field in the Azores islands in Portugal. During the two and a half years in Portugal, I studied both Portuguese and French together.
In the late summer of 1991, we moved to Hill Air Force Base in Utah. After about three months in Utah, I decided to move to the town of Modesto, which is located in Northern California.
I graduated from high school and then attended California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, California where I joined the Cognitive Studies program, which explored subjects involving Cognitive Science.
