[edit] Fiction

I've removed the "In Fiction" section, since on balance, the general consensus of D199 being a Class 46 (rather a Class 44) would appear to be valid. The position of the tail lights is a deciding factor, it being correct for a 45 or 46, and incorrect for a 44.

D199 is pictured with two white headcode discs in one drawing, which presumably led to the deduction that he is a 44, however these are too close to the bufferbeam to be those of an original 'Peak', and must therefore be presumed to be separate, removable accessories (backed up by the fact that none are visible in any of the other pictures). - Quackdave 21:55, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
