Crusades task force

This article is unrefined, with many sentences interrupted. It looks like a cut and paste work.--Panairjdde 09:11, 30 May 2005 (UTC)

While this article is interesting as an example of genealogical research, I am dubious that it is actually a significantly encyclopedic topic. As far as I am aware, none of these individuals, with the exception of the first, ever made any claim to the throne of Jerusalem. john k 02:43, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

Peter Edbury's History of the Kingdom of Cyprus mentions that people were at least aware of the claim through 1331, when Robert of Naples was supposedly intriguing with Isabella (and her sons, presumably) to seize Cyprus, but this appears to have been a very blue-sky sort of affair; none of the claimants used either the title of Cyprus or Jerusalem (see [1] for a selection of their styles), and after the first claimant's attempt to sell his rights to Alfonso III of Aragon in 1289, any mention of their "claim" appears to be wishful thinking. I agree that this is probably not a suitable encyclopedia article. (Incidentally, the author of the article is almost certainly the current User:217.140.193.123.) Choess 03:25, July 11, 2005 (UTC)

We could just redirect it to Kings of Jerusalem...or delete it, I don't think anyone would miss it. Adam Bishop 01:18, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
