Bristol County

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bristol County is the name of two adjacent counties in the United States:

The Bristol County of Rhode Island was originally part of the Bristol County in Massachusetts, and was transferred to Rhode Island in 1740 as the result of a boundary dispute.

The two Bristol Counties have the highest density of Portuguese-American population in the United States.

"Bristol" is also the name of a county in England, although it is never referred to as "Bristol County".
