Bristol Children's Hospital also known as the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, is a dedicated paediatric hospital in Bristol, in the south west of England. The Bristol Children's Hospital is part of the United Bristol Healthcare NHS Trust (UBHT) which includes seven hospitals within Bristol. The hospital is located next to the Bristol Royal Infirmary in Bristol city centre.
The new Children's Hospital opened on 22 April 2001. One of the main aims of the design, in addition to providing the most up-to-date facilities possible, was to overcome many of the difficulties that face patients, families and staff.[1]
The new building is obviously a great improvement on the old one although many staff and families strongly believe that it was built in the wrong place.
