[edit] Neighborhoods
- The Tree Streets are a network of streets named after trees, such as Satinwood, Larch, & Oak. They are popular trick or treating sites for the local youth. Some of the oldest houses in the town lie on these streets, with the exception of Satinwood, the newest of the tree streets, which has the newest and biggest houses. This is with the exception of a refined farm house which although big, is one of the oldest houses in the town.

It is home to the Briarcliff Manor Police & Fire Department as well as a number of commercial establishments. Farther along the road are the Briarcliff High School and Briarcliff Middle School, though they are not technically in the village. The elementary school, Todd School, is located on Ingham Road, which intersects with Pleasantville Road. Todd Lane, the older portion of Carleton Ave up to the 9A entrance and Horsechestnut are part of the village.
- Long Hill Road stretches a long distance across Briarcliff. Many nice houses can be found on this road, as well as on the roads that branch off of it, such as Law Road, Elm Road,Tuttle, Ridgecrest Road, Holly Place, Cottonwood Lane, Hirst Road, and Cedar Drive East and West. Ridgecrest Road roads boasts incredible river views.
- Rosecliff is a development of similar houses in the south-west corner of Briarcliff Manor. The whole part of the complex was built in the "Wilderness". While a part of Briarcliff, it has a gate blocking its front entrance.
- Meadowbrook Farm is an area that falls under the postal and school systems of Briarcliff but is not governed under the village, rather by the Town of Mount Pleasant. The newer portion of Carleton Avenue(extended in the early 1980's) Pea Pond Lane, Patricia Lane, Pine Hill Court and Fox Run Road are some streets in this area.
- Hirst also known as Hirst Road is the tallest peak in Briarcliff and also has a connecting loop to it.
[edit] Other Significant Areas

This is not incorporated in Briarcliff's School District. During the early 20th century families such as the Vanderbilts, Astors, and Rockefellers entertained guests on their "country" estates with sweeping river views in the Scarborough area. Location of Sparta Cemetery, next to the famous Scarborough Presbyterian Church, within which is the grave of "The Leather Man", subject of a Pearl Jam B-side of the same name.
- Chilmark is a residential community along with a shopping center that is on the northern end of Briarcliff. The shopping center includes a supermarket, Carvel ice cream store, Prescription Plus Pharmacy, Radio Shack, pizzeria, an independent video store, and other select stores.
