Brian Windhorst is an American sportswriter currently covering the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Akron Beacon Journal. He has been with the Beacon Journal since 2000 and covered the Cavaliers since 2003. Windhorst also frequently contributes columns to ESPN.com and has made many appearances on ESPN First Take since 2006. He also co-wrote Franchise: Lebron James and The Remaking of the Cleveland Cavaliers with fellow Cleveland sportswriter Terry Pluto. Windhorst attended Kent State University and graduated with a degree in journalism in 2000. He lives in Brook Park, Ohio and Jupiter, Florida with his wife.
