Brian Christie is a popular, Emmy award-winning television news journalist and news anchor.
Brian currently is host and executive producer of The Boomer Show. The program is a late night TV talk show with a live studio audience and band. It's aimed at the 80 million Baby Boomers and is seen nationally from coast-to-coast on The Wealth TV Network.
Christie has been a familiar face to television news viewers around the world. For over a decade, he was a primary news anchor and reporter for CNN, CNN Headline News and CNN International.
For many years, this successful newscaster has anchored CNN’s The World Today, The CNN Prime News and Newsnight. He has been in the anchor hot-seat for the analysis and reporting of a myriad of live, breaking stories including Hurricane Andrew, The O.J. Simpson Trial, The Persian Gulf War and many other live national and international news events.
Brian also hosted CNN’s Your Turn. The late night call-in show was a fixture of the CNN overnight schedule for several years in the 90's.
His extensive career includes many years as a primary anchor, reporter and host for WKRN-TV Peoria, WCVB-TV Boston, WKRN-TV Nashville, KTBC-TV Austin, KUSI-TV, and XETV in San Diego. Media Mogul Ted Turner said, "I like Christie, he has a habit of winning." He won the ratings battle at CNN, Headline News, Boston and in San Diego (twice).
He has also hosted a number of nationally syndicated news, information and talk shows, including “Emergency Call” and “U.S.A.M.,” an early morning CBS network show. He has hosted successful talk shows in Boston ("The Good Day Show"), Nashville ("Nashville Magazine"), "CNN Morning News," San Diego ("San Diego People"). Austin ("The Best Of Austin) and Orlando ("The Sundance Show") at WSWB TV.
Ever the journalist, Brian began writing short stories at an early age. That developed into songwriting. He later became a singer, musician and recording artist for a number of prominent record labels including MGM, Roulette and the legendary Sun Records, who gave birth to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and others.
Before his extensive career in the television industry, Christie was a successful on-air broadcast radio personality on several stations including WOCB Cape Cod, Massachusetts, WSAR Fall River, Massachusetts, WBUD Trenton, WLOF Orlando, and WLAC Nashville.
Brian Christie graduated with high honors from the prestigious Radio, Television & Theatre School "Leland Powers" in Boston.
