My life has new meaning,
the variables have changed,
constants new values.

I've been following the same path,
and it hasn't led me well;
pitfalls and distractions.

Life had stalled,
as if stuck in perpetual cycle
daily routine turned personal hell

Change in mind,
I know is necessary for change in soul.
One must follow the other.

A change in heart is neccessary as well
Which can often call,
upon another

It is in this synthesis I found fault:
My life lacked direction,
And I, harmony.

One is not complete alone
A puzzle unto himself,
A reality his own,
life is lived in context

I have friends I hold near
and friends I hold dearest.
I have friends I've neglected
and friends I've newly made.

I have friends I have expended
friends made for personal gain
and friends who cannot spell my name
are they then really friends?

Ultimately, friends are made by respect;
from tests of courage and skill.
Even in trouble you hold them dear,
for abandonment is disrespect.
