Brett Gregory Hayes (born February 13, 1984 in Pasadena, California) is a professional baseball player currently playing for the Florida Marlins system and the Carolina Mudcats of the Southern Minor League.
He has been compared to Brad Ausmus.[1]

Brett Hayes is the son of Tim Hayes Jr., and the grandson Tim Hayes Sr., both professional baseball players. Tim Hayes, Jr. was drafted by the Kansas City Royals, but never appeared professionally. Tim Hayes, Sr. played professionally for the Cleveland Indians.

Hayes played 91 games in 2007, splitting time between Jupiter and Carolina. Attended college at the University of Reno Nevada, Wolfpack. WAC freshman of the year, and freshman All-American in college, only missing one game in three years as the Wolfpack's catcher.
