Brett Festerling (born March 3, 1986 in Quesnel, British Columbia) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. In September, 2005, the 6'1", 207lb blueliner signed a three year entry level contract with the Anaheim Ducks, despite not being picked in the NHL Entry Draft.[1]
On October 19, 2006, Brett was named captain of the Giants for the 2006 – 2007 WHL season. He was the fifth person to wear the "C" in franchise history, and the second Quesnel born player to do so.[2]
On May 27, 2007, Festerling lead the Vancouver Giants to win their first ever Mastercard Memorial Cup. This was also the day that Festerling played his last game of junior hockey.
