Brett Beyer

Brett Beyer is an international sailing coach and world champion sailor. Born July 26, 1966 in Sydney, Australia, the youngest of three boys. He studied sport science at the Wollongong University in 1986-1990

  • He is known for a high standard of sportsmanship and athleticism, putting in many hours in practice sailing sessions and running innovative coaching programs. From 2000 he has spent a considerable part of his time internationally coaching the Olympic elite and junior sailing fraternity. Currently coaching Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, Singapore, Norwegian, Malayan and Swedish teams and individual sailors.
  • has been honoured as lifelong member with a prestigious Sydney Sailing club.
  • Since 2000 he has been thrice nominated as "yachtman of the year"
  • 2007 nominated as Master athlete of the year
  • 2008 winning an unsurpassed six world titles ("Di Pearson")
