Brent Pope (rugby analyst)

Brent Pope is a New Zealand born rugby Analyst on RTÉ television.

Brent Pope was selected in the the 1987 New Zealand Rugby World Cup squad but had to withdraw from it before the tournament got underway due to injury, breaking his arm in a warm-up match. When he came to Ireland, he played for Clontarf Rugby Club and later went on to coach St Mary's RFC.
He is also a published children's author, and has written for Village Magazine.
